COLOURS International Summer School on Socio-Environmental Vulnerabilities and Sustainable Transitions, hosted by the University of Ferrara in collaboration with the Ferrara Plains Reclamation Consortium

Using a collaborative approach, the workshop invited participants to explore the river landscape through a day of field research, engaging with questions of territory, memory, and environmental change. The process culminated in the creation of a collective zine — a shared visual and narrative space reflecting on the fragile relationship between human presence and the evolving ecosystem of the Delta.

Rooted in dialogue and participation, the project aimed to challenge extractive forms of representation, foregrounding instead co-creation and situated knowledge as tools for understanding and reimagining the landscape.

This project is based on the ideas, production and management between Costanza Parigi, the visual artist Clayton Junior and Davide Nicola Carnevale, lecturer and researcher in Visual Anthropology at the University of Ferrara.

The project is also in a continuation phase, currently being on an editorial process production by an independent Italian publishing house.
