Costanza Parigi is a visual anthropologist, filmmaker, and researcher from Florence, Italy, currently based in Berlin. Her work centres on ethnography and education through audiovisual media, bridging artistic practice and scientific inquiry.
Her practice combines humanistic research, fieldwork, film production, and interdisciplinary collaboration, with a strong focus on communities and on transcultural and cultural knowledge transmission. She works primarily with cultural institutions, universities, and educational dissemination platforms.
Her expertise has developed through participatory workshops, long-term field research, and multidisciplinary studies, shaping an approach that integrates ethnographic research, education, and audiovisual production. She currently works at the Ethnological Museum and the Museum of Asian Art in Berlin, where she contributes to projects in visual anthropology.
She holds a Master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology and Ethnology from the University of Bologna, where she conducted field research in Manaus, Brazil, and an MA in Visual and Media Anthropology from HMKW University of Applied Sciences in Berlin.
Her professional experience includes collaborations with institutions such as Fondazione Cineteca di Bologna and the award-winning immersive documentary studio NowHere Media. Since 2021, she has been part of the Media Department at the Ethnological Museum of Berlin, producing audiovisual materials, documenting projects, and representing the department at international events.
