NEAI is a research group that brings together, at its core, professors and students from the Graduate Programme in Anthropology at the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM), with a particular focus on indigenous students and researchers.

The group also collaborates with professors and researchers from other programmes and institutions. NEAI develops research and extension projects and a series of academic activities aimed at producing knowledge that can contribute to a better understanding of the complex cultural reality of the Amazon.
